Flower Pressing Workshop with Stacey Dooley x Arena Flowers

I had the pleasure of being invited to lead a flower pressing workshop at a special event with Arena Flowers last week. I spent a glorious morning surrounded by flowers and lovely people!

The event took place at Wild by Tart in London, known for its delicious food, and was a celebration of a new bouquet collection in collaboration with Stacey Dooley.

Arena Flowers is the UK’s No. 1 rated ethical flower company. I was amazed to learn that even the paper used to wrap their bouquets is made from floral green waste. Since flower pressing gives blooms a second life, hosting a flower pressing workshop felt like the perfect match for a company that emphasises sustainability.

The new collection features five hand-tied bouquets designed by Stacey. She carefully selected her favourite seasonal flowers and arranged them in her signature sculptural and wild style. The event space was filled with Stacey’s bouquets and flowers from her collection, creating a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere. The dreamy floral scent from Glass & Wick candles in the room only added to the floral extravaganza.

The event was a joy from start to finish. Everyone was warm and welcoming, and the sound of friendly chatter filled the venue throughout the morning. Stacey and the entire Arena team were incredibly lovely, and it was clear how natural their partnership was. After the welcoming speeches, guests learned about the art of flower pressing and filled their mini presses—the prettiest and most adorable flower presses by Studio Wald —with flowers and petals from the collection. Following this, we enjoyed a delicious brunch while chatting and mingling. I had some truly delightful conversations about flowers!
