Floral Preservation Studio in Buckinghamshire - Photoshoot with Yetzirah Castro

Last month I had the incredible pleasure of welcoming the loveliest Yetzirah Castro to my floral preservation studio. She’s a photographer specialising in baby, maternity and family photography, with her own studio in Princes Risborough, and she visited me to capture flower pressing on camera.

Her visit was the perfect and much needed motivator for a studio tidy up! It is wonderful to see my little floral slice of heaven captured by her in the many beautiful images she created. I hope you’ll enjoy this little sneak-peek behind the scenes!

Yetzirah is absolutely delightful and if you would like to capture some of your most precious moments in time, I couldn't recommend her highly enough! To book your photoshoot you can contact her via Instagram

“The idea to start Yetzirah Photography came to me during my pregnancy but it wasn't until after spending a considerable period of time dedicated exclusively to my family, that I was able to start working on turning that idea into a reality.

Photography for me is more than a career. It is the perfect expression of my desire to capture, in a picture, the deeply beautiful nature of people and to me, there is nothing more beautiful than a mother and child.

As a child, I spent 15 years practicing ballet and dance and every day after school painting. My father bought me my first camera when I was 10 and although only a fledgeling hobby at the time, it stayed with me throughout my university days studying Interior Design and Lanscaping.

While pregnant, I spent a lot of time with mothers to be and children and was immediately captivated by the immense beauty that they exude. I wanted to keep forever that feeling I had as a pregnant mother and from my newborn.

Every person, every shoot, every second is different and deeply exciting.

I am always studying, learning, practicing, updating and experiencing.

I am always trying to find that feeling that I experienced from anything like a simple expression, a glance, a position or a reaction and capture it in a photograph.

That is my gift to you so you may treasure it forever as I do.

Yetzirah.”
