Floral Pumpkins - Floral Preservation in Buckinghamshire

Floral pumpkins are one of my favourite annual projects  - created purely for fun and because they're oh so pretty! They’re also incredibly easy to do.

I tend to choose small white (ghost) pumpkins for my project, as they’re cute and I think they tend to show the colours of pressed flowers best, however you can decorate any pumpkin you like. All you need is craft glue, paint brushes and of course pressed flowers. The best pressed flowers to glue are dainty wildflowers - thick flowers won’t stick well to your pumpkin, as its surface isn’t flat.

Once your pumpkin is clean and dry, paint a small area with glue, cover it with your chosen flowers, and repeat until your whole pumpkin is decorated. To finish I also cover the top of the wildflowers with glue, then leave the pumpkin to dry. And that’s it - you just created a beautiful floral pumpkin!
