Megan & Sam’s September Wedding at The Tythe Barn in Oxfordshire | Pressed Wedding Bouquet Preservation in Buckinghamshire & Across the UK

There’s something so very special about preserving a wedding bouquet - turning fleeting flowers into something you can live with for years to come.

Megan & Sam were married in September at the Tythe Barn in Bicester, Oxfordshire. The barn dates back to the 14th century, with honeyed Cotswold stone, soaring beams and that soft, golden light that seems to settle beautifully in every corner. It feels private and calm; tucked away, yet generous in space. It’s one of those venues that feels both grand and intimate at the same time - it’s easy to see why couples fall in love with it.

A Bouquet Designed to Be Remembered

Their flowers were created by Lizzy from The Flower Story, whose work always feels abundant and thoughtfully gathered rather than overly styled. Megan’s bouquet was a colourful (my favourite!) blend of pinks, peaches, oranges and purples. Garden roses, dahlias and zinnias gave structure, while scabiosa and lamb’s tongue added movement.

What I particularly loved was how natural it felt: expressive, slightly wild, and full of seasonal character. It was exactly the kind of bouquet that lends itself beautifully to wedding flowers pressing, full of variation, texture and depth.

The day was captured by Char from Char Cook Photography, whose documentary style means nothing feels forced. Her work is relaxed and quietly observant, the kind of photography that captures real expressions, real moments, and all those in-between details. The images of Megan holding her bouquet in the September light were just beautiful (and that confetti shot!!).

From Fresh Flowers to a Pressed Floral Bouquet

After the wedding, Megan & Sam dropped their bouquet to my home studio in Buckinghamshire. They were just the loveliest couple! I always love that moment, when the excitement of the day has settled slightly and the flowers begin their second life.

The bouquet was gently dismantled and each flower pressed individually to retain as much shape and colour as possible. Flowers don’t dry exactly as they were fresh, so subtle changes in tone and texture are natural. The design stage is where everything comes together, arranging the pressed blooms into a balanced composition that feels true to the spirit of the original bouquet.

For Megan & Sam, I created a modern botanical collage that echoed the movement and colour of the original design, rather than recreating it too formally. Once complete, it was framed in a large oak frame, which worked beautifully with the warmth of their late summer palette.

I offer pressed wedding bouquet preservation in Buckinghamshire, welcoming local drop-offs from couples in Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds and surrounding areas.

For couples further afield, I also provide UK-wide wedding bouquet preservation by post. Many of my clients send their flowers to me from across England, Scotland and Wales for professional wedding flowers pressing.

A Lasting Piece of Your Wedding Day

Your bouquet is only held for a few hours. Through pressed wedding bouquet preservation, it becomes something permanent - artwork that holds the memory of your special day.
