November Memories: First Snow, Christmas Markets & More
November was a month full of tiny joys, festive beginnings and a few cheeky adventures, so I wanted to gather some favourite moments here - a little snapshot of life before the Christmas rush.
❄️ We had our first snow of the season!
It didn’t last long (straight to slush in record time), but those few powdery hours were pure happiness.
🎄 We kicked off Christmas market season
A gloriously festive morning at Peterley Manor Farm with my friend (and an amazing candle maker Florence and Bee ) - twinkly lights everywhere and the loveliest company. The perfect start to the season.
🎅🏼 I even popped in to see Santa 😉
And put on the ice skates, too.
🎄 Our Christmas tree went up!
With the days shortening fast, we decided to bring a little sparkle indoors and decorated our Christmas tree at the end of the month. My little man promptly appointed himself Chief Decorator, leaving me as a very junior assistant. My role: hand over baubles and not interfere 😂
📚 A delightfully ‘naughty’ London day
We spent a school inset day in London and saw Matilda, which was absolutely phenomenal! The children were spectacular, the set was incredible, and we spent the rest of the day wandering under the Christmas lights, toasting marshmallows, and watching brilliant street performers. A mini adventure and the loveliest November memory.
✈️ A quick trip to Germany
I also squeezed in a whirlwind trip to Germany to soak up family time and all the Christmas markets. I consumed my body weight in cheese (the Swiss raclette got me good) and tried new festive mulled wines - blueberry and pomegranate were both chef’s kiss!👌🏻
Looking back…
These November memories feel like the loveliest way to ease into the festive season - a gentle mix of family moments, cosy outings, and little adventures sprinkled through the month.
A tiny December note…
As we glide into winter weddings, I’m also now deep in bouquet-preserving season.
If you’re newly married this month and would love your flowers transformed into a lasting keepsake, you can find all the details or send your enquiry here.
