Elizabeth’s Wedding Bouquet Preservation | Gileston Manor, South Wales
There’s something extra special about creating a preserved bouquet as a surprise gift - and Elizabeth’s beautiful June wedding flowers were just that. Arranged lovingly by her mum, this bouquet arrived at my studio by post, ready to be carefully pressed and framed as a lasting keepsake of her wedding day at the stunning Gileston Manor in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales.
A bouquet full of elegance and love
Designed by Apple Blossom in May, Elizabeth’s bouquet was an elegant mix of roses and peonies in soft creams and whites, with just a hint of bright pink rose accents adding a joyful pop of colour. It had that timeless, romantic feel that’s always such a pleasure to preserve - soft petals, delicate textures, and the sweetest scent of early summer still lingering as I began the pressing process.
The preservation process
Each flower was carefully placed and pressed by hand in my Buckinghamshire studio, ensuring every petal and stem was captured in perfect detail. The aim is always to honour the natural shape and flow of the original bouquet while creating something that feels artful and lasting. Once fully pressed, I re-imagined Elizabeth’s flowers in a large horizontal frame, allowing each bloom to breathe and the arrangement to flow naturally across the piece.
A timeless keepsake
The finished design is full of gentle movement and quiet romance: the creamy tones of the peonies blending beautifully with the soft pastels and pink details. It’s such a special way to remember the joy and love of a wedding day, especially when the piece was gifted by someone so dear.
Whether your bouquet is delivered to me by post or dropped off here in Buckinghamshire, each preservation is handled with the same care and attention — turning your wedding flowers into a work of art you’ll treasure for years to come.
If you’ve been wondering how to keep your bouquet forever, I’d love to help you capture its beauty in a pressed flower frame!
