Sophie’s September Flowers at Stone Barn, Cotswolds - Pressed Wedding Bouquet Preservation in the UK

There’s something about September weddings that feels quietly special - that shift from late summer into early autumn, when colours soften and warm at the same time. Sophie’s bouquet captured that moment beautifully, filled with British-grown flowers in a breath taking sunset palette of peaches, pinks, oranges and yellows.

Her wedding took place at Stone Barn in Cheltenham, a rustic countryside venue that suited the relaxed, seasonal feel of her flowers perfectly. Sophie worked with Flutter Florals (florist Amy Heath), who created a loose, abundant bouquet using seasonal stems including dahlias, zinnias, phlox and cosmos. It had that natural, gathered feel - full of movement, texture and bursting with colour!

After the wedding, Sophie dropped her bouquet off for pressed wedding bouquet preservation. The flowers arrived in lovely condition, which always makes a real difference to the final result.

Wedding flowers pressing is a slow, careful process. Each bouquet is taken apart and every bloom is pressed individually, helping to hold onto as much colour and shape as possible. Once everything is ready, the flowers are arranged in my signature botanical collage style: light, airy and deconstructed - designed to reflect the feel of the original bouquet rather than recreate it exactly.

Sophie chose a large frame, which gave the flowers space and allowed each detail to be appreciated. The finished piece is a unique and lasting way to hold onto her bouquet and a quiet reminder of the day itself.

If you’d like to turn your wedding blooms into art, I’d love to hear from you! Bouquets can be posted or dropped off, and each one is carefully preserved and transformed into a bespoke piece of artwork to be treasured for years to come.
